Support for Our Military Families

We are proud to welcome our military-connected students and families to our school community. We recognize the sacrifices, strength, and resilience that come with military life, and we are honored to have you as part of the Hamlin family.

At Hamlin Upper Grade Center, we are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and caring environment where every student feels valued and connected. We understand that transitions and new beginnings can sometimes be challenging, and we want you to know that you are not alone. Our staff is here to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally every step of the way.

We also want to thank your families for their service and dedication to our country. Your experiences, perspectives, and contributions enrich our school community in so many meaningful ways.

To register your student, please contact Dr. Catherine Gallagher, Principal, at 708-597-1550 or cgallagher@ahsd125.org. We will be available to help guide and support you and your student through the registration process.

We fully comply with the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. We will assist in ensuring:

  • Timely enrollment and records  transfer
  • Appropriate placement based on previous coursework and assessment
  • Flexibility in attendance and graduation requirements when applicable
  • Support for extracurricular participation.

Our leadership team and counseling staff regularly review policies to ensure alignment and work diligently to remove barriers to student success.
